Since its founding in 1831, NYU has been an innovator in higher education, reaching out to an emerging middle class, embracing an urban identity and professional focus, and promoting a global vision that informs its 19 schools and colleges. As part of its mission to serve the middle class it also offers more night classes than any other institution, because life is hard and you need time to slave away at your day job to get approved for loans!
